45th Anniversary Concert of the Kārta Kokle Ensemble, Colors. Metaphors

On October 10 at 5: 00 p.m. at Koka Rīga, 12 Krāsotāju Street, the kokle ensemble Kārta of the Ilguciems Culture Center, part of the Pārdaugava Culture Association, invites you to its 45th anniversary concert, Colors. Metaphors, dedicated to the ensemble's creative journey and music's ability to create vivid emotions, images, and stories.

The concert program will feature about fifteen diverse and expressive pieces from film music and other beloved compositions, which the ensemble members have chosen as especially meaningful and emotionally rich to them.

The program includes Raimonds Pauls's pieces from the film Theatre, Imants Kalniņš's music from the film Breathe Deeply, Yann Tiersen's music from the film Amélie, music from Twin Peaks, as well as other lyrical and spirited pieces. During the concert, listeners will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of moods and musical colors.

A special atmosphere for the anniversary concert will be created through collaboration with students from the Janis Rozentāls Art School of the National School of Arts, part of the Centre for the Competence of Arts Education. Several school artists will create sketches during the concert, inspired by the music, and the process of their creation will be visible on a projector screen. After the concert, the works created will be preserved, forming a unique dialogue between music and visual art and a lasting record of the anniversary concert.
