Concert by the Vocal Ensemble "Tu un es" "From Folk Song to Gospels"

The vocal ensemble "Tu un es" invites you to its new season concert on 25 September at 6:00 p.m. at the "Imanta" Cultural Centre, where listeners will be able to experience a diverse musical journey through time, genres, and cultures.

At the heart of the program is the Latvian folk song in its many shades. The concert will feature both classic folk song arrangements and works created by contemporary Latvian composers and arrangers. Alongside them, original songs by Latvian and international authors will be performed, and a special part of the program will be dedicated to gospels and spirituals - music that is still relatively rarely heard in Latvia's concert scene, but carries a special energy, hope, and joy.

This concert marks a new stage in the ensemble's creative journey - with a fresh sound, new ideas, and a desire to discover new musical worlds together with the audience.

Gustavs Oto Iesalnieks (piano) and Emīlija Zemniece (vocals) will perform together with the ensemble at the concert.

Admission is free.
