ALWAYS LALISA

Always Lalisa is a feature-length documentary about the world-famous superstar LISA and the eventful year she spends away from BLACKPINK, the K-pop phenomenon that made her one of the world’s most recognizable performers. With the group on pause, LISA enters the first truly significant phase of her solo career, facing the question of who she is outside of BLACKPINK?

The film follows LISA as she writes, records, and releases her debut solo album Alter Ego, makes her acting debut in the third season of The White Lotus, and prepares for her first major solo performance at the 2025 Coachella music festival. Born and raised in Thailand, LISA left her home country at 14 to train in South Korea’s demanding K-pop system, eventually becoming a global superstar. But carving out her own path, especially in the Western music market, brings new challenges, constant public attention, and the need to redefine herself on her own terms.

Intimate, emotional, and candid, Always Lalisa portrays an artist at a crossroads, documenting a year filled with risk, reinvention, and self-discovery. It is a story of how LISA begins to shape not only the next stage of her life and career, but also to understand what kind of woman and artist she wants to become.

The film is in English, Thai, and Korean with English subtitles.
