Andris Bērziņš | “Theater and Cinema”

We invite you to a special meeting with Latvian stage legend Andris Bērziņš at the concert “Theater and Cinema”!

Andris Bērziņš is an actor whose stage presence cannot be confused with anyone else’s. Over more than fifty years, he has created dozens of vivid characters in the world of Latvian theater and cinema, becoming one of the most recognizable stage personalities of his generation.

This will be a special meeting with an actor, singer, and storyteller, where theater, cinema, music, poetry, humor, and life stories will intertwine.

For Andris Bērziņš, a song is never just melody and lyrics. He tells a song through character, humor, irony, and life experience. His creative path is closely linked with Raimonds Pauls and the legendary era of the “singing actors.” Maestro once said of Andris Bērziņš: “Andris knows how to present.” And it is exactly this ability that will be at the center of the evening.

The concert will feature melodies by Raimonds Pauls, theater and film music, songs that have become special milestones in Andris Bērziņš’s creative journey, as well as poetry, one of his special trademark acts. Because Andris Bērziņš not only knows how to speak words. He knows how to make words resonate.

And of course, there will be no shortage of humor that evening. Conversations with the audience, life stories, memories, wit, and that special mischievousness that Andris Bērziņš still possesses after decades on stage.

“Theater and Cinema” is an evening for those who want to remember beloved melodies, meet one of Latvia’s brightest stage personalities, and for a moment return to a time when theater, cinema, and song were closely woven into one story.

Theater. Cinema. Song. Poetry. Humor. Memories.

And above all, Andris Bērziņš.
