Because, as you know, the most dangerous things in this world begin with a seemingly innocent: "Well, let's just look..."

One day, a not very successful and moderately carefree writer receives a rare manuscript, the author of which is believed to be Dante Alighieri. As if to determine authenticity.

Coincidence or a dangerous invitation?

A cautious and prudent person would not get involved in such a matter and would try to forget about it. But after noticing suspicious activity surrounding the manuscript, he is drawn into this risky game full of dark secrets and dire forebodings. Then something inexplicable happens: time and space collide, weaving together parallel lives separated by seven centuries.

People appear and disappear without a trace, moving between the XXI and XIV centuries, and it is no longer possible to understand where our enterprising writer is and where the immortal "Divine Comedy" author Dante Alighieri.

Paradise and hell. Love and betrayal. Beauty and obsession. Two eras are connected by one secret.

The text becomes a mirror in which everyone sees their own abyss and the light that flickers in its depths.

Everything usually starts with curiosity, but ends... Although - who said that such stories always have an end?

"With Dante's hand" is a grand and controversial film by the great director and painter Julian Schnabel.

A multi-layered, sophisticated cinematic canvas in which historical drama, detective intrigue and an inner spiritual journey are intertwined in a tight knot.
