Arturs Skutelis // Solus Rex + Apziņas plūsma tour

This autumn, Latvian hip-hop artist Arturs Skutelis is going on tour to meet listeners, performing songs from the albums “Solus Rex” and “Apziņas plūsma”.

Released in April, “Solus Rex” is Arturs Skutelis’ latest work and has already attracted significant attention from listeners and music critics. The album has been heard both at sold-out presentation concerts in Riga and at the festivals “Summer Sound” and “Ezīšfests”, was nominated for the Latvian Public Media award “Kilograms of Culture”, and is the first Arturs Skutelis release to also come out on vinyl.

“Taking the laws of hip-hop as the canvas instead, Skutelis paints scene after scene, in which he addresses not only matters of the heart and soul, but also his place on the stage of the genre itself, the deceptive nature of ambition, and quite simply the ‘equations’ by following which one can attain a peaceful life, but not one freed from vigilance,” Toms Treibergs writes about “Solus Rex”.
