Would it ever occur to you to ask a bank for a loan by offering nothing but your word of honor as collateral? Hardly anyone would do that. But that is exactly what the hero of the play Credit, Antonio, does. What follows is a chain of almost impossible events, sharp plot twists and unexpected situations, witty dialogue and comic misunderstandings.

In today's world, the individual matters less and less and is less and less able to influence anything. This is especially reflected in our relationship with money. The banking system knows everything about us, in fact even more than we know about ourselves - our family status, financial situation, shopping habits, priorities... That is why it is fascinating to explore what happens when one small, insignificant person rises up against this system, trying to find human understanding and a responsive heart in this whole global mechanism...

The play's plot includes detective intrigue, so without revealing the outcome, Ogre Theatre promises audiences a hearty laugh and a vote of trust that the performance will also give food for thought.

The contemporary Catalan playwright Jordi Galceran (1964) is best known in Latvia as the author of The Gronholm Method.
