Bach. A New Beginning. Daniel Lozakovich & Ventspils Chamber Orchestra

One of the brightest violinists of his generation, Daniel Lozakovich (Sweden), will appear at the concert hall “Latvija”, where together with the Ventspils Chamber Orchestra he will present a specially curated concert program of music by Johann Sebastian Bach, “Bach. A New Beginning”. This will be the artist’s only concert in the Baltics this year.

Daniel Lozakovich performs with the world’s leading orchestras, including the Chicago and Boston Symphony Orchestras, the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra, working with conductors such as Andris Nelsons, Riccardo Chailly, and Klaus Mäkelä. Daniel Lozakovich is an artist with the prestigious recording label Deutsche Grammophon. His recordings and concert programs have earned wide international acclaim, and Bach’s music holds a special place in the artist’s repertoire.

The concert program “Bach. A New Beginning” will be a new musical encounter in which Daniel Lozakovich, together with the Ventspils Chamber Orchestra, will turn to the diversity and timeless beauty of Bach’s music. In this program, the violinist will not only appear as a soloist, but will also take on musical leadership, creating a close and immediate interplay with the orchestra’s musicians. The concert will be hosted by musicologist and Latvijas Radio 3 “Klasika” presenter Liene Jakovļeva.

The concert is organized by SIA “Kurzemes filharmonija” in cooperation with Ventspils Music Secondary School.
