Baiba Sipeniece-Gavare | Stand-up Show "There’s More"

We invite you to a positive, entertaining, and humor-filled stand-up show, where the wonderful Baiba Sipeniece-Gavare will welcome you with her as yet unheard, adventure-filled stories.

Sometimes events stir up such a whirlwind that they simply beg to be told, and now the time has come again when I can come and say: “There’s more!”

The stand-up format is about a person coming up and telling how the world interacts with your life, how a particular time was lived through, how one tried to get along with that time, and in the end, how the taste of life was found.

“Once my friend had a broken phone ringer, and we had an agreement that on the hour and half past the hour she would, just to be safe, pick up the receiver, so that at least in that way we could stay in touch. Something similar is happening with me - five years ago there was that full hour when I was ready to speak, and now it is time for the half hour. And there is plenty to talk about,” says Baiba.

“For many public figures, a popular thing is to write their memoirs, thus recording time. Writing is not my genre, but speaking is. It is easier for me to tell. That is what I know how to do and have been doing for years. Yes, this genre may be fleeting, but I am glad that my story and my view of things and events resonates with someone. That is why I speak from time to time. If you are passing by, pick up the phone, maybe our thoughts will meet somewhere,” Baiba invites.
