Sometimes events create such a whirlwind that they simply beg to be told, and now that moment has come again, when I can come and say: “There is more!”

The stand-up format is about one person coming and telling how the world interacts with your life, how a certain time was lived through, how one tried to live with that time, and in the end, how the taste of life was found.

“Once, my friend's phone had a broken ringer, and we had an arrangement that on the hour and half hour she would lift the receiver just in case, so that at least that way we could stay in touch. Something similar is happening with me. Five years ago there was that full hour when I was ready to speak, and now it is time for the half hour. And there is plenty to talk about,” says Baiba.

“For many public figures, a popular thing is to write memoirs, thus capturing a moment in time. Writing is not my genre, but speaking is. I find it easier to tell the story. That is what I know how to do, and I have been doing it for years. Yes, this genre may be fleeting, but I am glad that my story and my view of things and events resonates with someone.
