Ballet Swan Lake

"Swan Lake" is the ballet of ballets, and it has always delighted audiences. In it, Tchaikovsky's beautiful music is combined with Petipa and Ivanov's brilliant choreography. In the 2020 production at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet, choreographer and stage director Aivars Leimanis has supplemented the original choreography with new variations, while the visual design was created by two outstanding artists - the renowned costume designer Robert Perdziola and set designer Juan Guillermo Nova.

The spell of Swan Lake draws the dreamer Prince Siegfried like a magnet. Odile, who is as alike as a drop of water to the beautiful swan princess Odette, desires the young man. The struggle, the wound of his beloved Odette, the victory over evil, which is only an illusion...
