BALLET PERFORMANCE | THE SLEEPING BEAUTY

On December 28, one of the world’s most famous masterpieces of classical ballet, The Sleeping Beauty, will be performed on the stage of the VEF Culture Palace in Riga. The performance will be presented by the stars of Sofia Festival Ballet, inviting audiences into a world of fairy tales, enchantment, and the incomparable beauty of classical choreography.

The Sleeping Beauty is one of the outstanding masterpieces of the world ballet repertoire, created based on the famous fairy tale by Charles Perrault. The combination of brilliant music, refined choreography, and a magical story has made The Sleeping Beauty one of the most beloved classical ballet productions.

The story of Princess Aurora, who is cursed by an evil fairy and awakened by a handsome prince’s kiss, has been familiar to many since childhood. But on stage, this story comes to life in a completely new way, thanks to the music, lavish costumes, and the artistry of the performers.

The magical story, the familiar music, and the beauty of classical ballet make the performance exciting not only for experienced ballet lovers, but also for those discovering this art form for the first time. The Sleeping Beauty is an excellent way to introduce young audiences to classical ballet through an easy-to-follow and beloved fairy-tale story, lavish costumes, music, and the expressive language of dance.

In the performance by Sofia Festival Ballet, the classic fairy tale turns into a true festive production, creating an atmosphere in which reality recedes for a few hours, making way for the world of fantasy and dreams.
