Children's Morning. From Idea to Video Game. Let's Discover How Video Games Are Made and Create Our Own Game

On November 28 at 11: 00 a.m., the Children's Morning "From Idea to Video Game" will take place at the "Imanta" Cultural Centre, where children will be able to learn about the process of creating video games, meet a game designer, create their own video game characters, and try them out in a digital game.

How is a video game made, who invents its characters and world, and how can a drawing on paper turn into a real game character? During the event, children will learn in an accessible and engaging way how ideas become video games and how storytelling, visual art, sound, movement, and technology come together in their creation.

During the meeting, the game designer will introduce the behind-the-scenes of video game development, talk about the skills needed to create games, and show how creativity and digital tools can be used to make your own game.

A special part of the event will be a practical creative workshop, where each participant will be able to create their own video game character, invent its appearance, special abilities, and story. One or more of the children’s created characters will be integrated into a real video game, allowing the young creators to experience how their ideas turn from a drawing into a digital character.

At the end of the event, children will be able to try the game they created and see that imagination and creativity can become part of the digital world.

The Children's Morning "From Idea to Video Game" will be an opportunity not only to learn about the process of making video games, but also to get creative, experiment, and discover how art and technology come together in an exciting adventure.

Recommended for ages 6 to 14.
