Christmas Concert “A Winter Tale”

Christmas is not about gifts, but about the love we share! We invite you to a heartfelt and musically rich concert, “A Winter Tale,” to feel together the magic, peace, and brightness of Christmas.

The program “A Winter Tale” is set in subdued and gently warm moods, like those we experience when we are with our loved ones on Christmas Eve. It will be a chance to pause for a moment in the rush of everyday life, surrender to music, and enjoy the season of anticipation.

Performers:

Annija Putniņa - vocals

Jānis Lūsēns - piano

Evija Mundeciema-Lūsēna - flute, bells

The creative collaboration between composer Jānis Lūsēns and singer Annija Putniņa began several years ago with the creation of the Christmas musical for young people, “The Child of the Star.” The collaboration continued in other musicals and rock operas, including “Kaupēns, My Dear,” “Early Rust,” and “Sphinx.”

Annija Putniņa’s unique, delicate, and nuanced voice gives a new sound to composer Jānis Lūsēns’s songs. The concert will feature both well-known and lesser-heard melodies, creating a special musical atmosphere and allowing you to experience the warmth of Christmas time.

Tickets: 20 euros in advance, 25 euros on the day of the concert.
