Description:

The sound of the RDKS Gospel Choir brings together the tradition of gospel music and Latvian and international popular music.

Founded in 2018, the Riga Cathedral Choir School Gospel Choir, under the direction of conductor and head of the Musical Theatre Department Una Stade, has made a strong impression both in Latvia and internationally. The choir is a laureate of several competitions, including first prize and Grand Prix at the popular and jazz music competition “Lauluragin” in Estonia in 2019 and 2023, while at the end of 2024 the song “Worth,” performed by the choir, became a finalist in the gospel music category of the USA Songwriting Competition.

This year, the Gospel Choir has achieved another major international success: victory and Grand Prix at the 9th International Baltic Sea Choir Competition.
