Do we know how to act in a crisis situation? Are our families and communities ready for it? Today, security is no longer the sole responsibility of the state or services. In a crisis situation, the readiness, knowledge and ability to cooperate of each person, family and local community is also very important. 14.00 to 19.30 in Pļaviņu Culture Center, Daugavas Street 49. The goal of the "Community Resilience" project is to strengthen the security capacity and readiness of rural communities for various crises, while promoting mutual aid and social cohesion. During the training, we will talk about how to prepare for crisis situations, what you need to know and prepare in advance, how to protect yourself and your family in the event of a crisis, what to do if the usual infrastructure or services are temporarily unavailable. Also, the topics of the lectures will be the restoration of mental health, psychological resilience. maintaining internal stability, taking care of one's own and fellow humans' psychological well-being, and regaining strength after emotionally difficult situations. During the project, first aid, cyber security, survival and other practical lessons are also planned. We invite everyone who is interested! Community activists, representatives of residents' councils, NGOs, local leaders and anyone who wants to better prepare for various crisis situations and strengthen the resilience of their community are especially welcome.
