Concert by the BmSO Wind Orchestra of the Ballerup School of Music in Denmark

This year, on October 14 at 6:00 PM, the BmSO wind orchestra of the Ballerup School of Music in Denmark (Ballerup School of Music Concert Band) will perform at the Dubulti Concert Hall of the Jūrmala Music Secondary School.

"BmSO" is an energetic wind orchestra from Ballerup, located near Copenhagen. The ensemble has more than 30 years of history, and it consists of 30 passionate musicians aged 14 to 35, performing woodwind, brass, and percussion parts. The orchestra regularly performs at well-known concert venues in Denmark, including Copenhagen’s famous Tivoli Gardens and the Ballerup Summer Festival.

International concert tours are an important part of the orchestra’s tradition: every two years the ensemble goes on a European tour, and previous concert destinations have included places such as Budapest, Berlin, and Lake Garda.

Under the direction of conductor Rasmus Kærsgaard, "BmSO" offers an engaging and diverse repertoire that combines epic film soundtrack arrangements, pop and rock arrangements, jazz, and original contemporary works for wind orchestra. On its Latvia tour, the orchestra will perform with two talented vocal soloists, Alma Svan and Lukas Klee.
