Dark Border

Director Andrejs Ēķis's new feature film DARK BORDER

This tense spy thriller is set in 1938 and tells the story of the journalist Baltais, who is sent on a secret mission to the border region to prevent the possible transfer of a Russian intelligence pilot to Russia with information that threatens the security of the Latvian state. While carrying out this mission, Baltais discovers other secret plans of the Soviet spy network and learns what true friendship, trust, and betrayal are. The question of which side are you on resonates sharply with later historical events and with the present day as well.

The lead role, Lieutenant Baltais, is played by Jēkabs Reinis. Cast: Vilis Daudziņš, Kaspars Zvīgulis, Santa Breikša, Kaspars Znotiņš, Elizabete Milta, and others.
