DOPLERS

A story about a person in our troubled times

Based on Erlend Loe's novel “Doppler”

He seems to have everything for a fulfilled life: a wife, children, a job, a house, material and social well-being. His father has recently died, and he never really knew or understood him. One afternoon he falls off his bicycle in the forest and lies there for a couple of hours. The sudden release from everyday obligations and seemingly important decisions, as well as the realization of the loss of his father, whom he never really knew, make him question the meaning of the life he has lived so far. He leaves everything behind and goes to live in the forest, in a tent outside all norms and frameworks. And although the forest becomes an oasis of peace for a while, it does not provide answers to all questions or solve the problems. This is a story about a confused and weary modern person who simply longs for genuine feeling. And for love. No matter how painfully the world may come crashing down.
