Duet Mediante and friends | WINTER AUDIO STORIES

Every winter has its own stories. Some sound quiet and contemplative, others sparkling, witty and surprising.

"Ziemas Klausāmstāsti" is a musical journey that unfolds in the sound of voice, accordion, violin and double bass and allows you to experience winter in all its diversity - from quiet peace to sparkling joy and the feeling of anticipation of the holidays.

Each piece becomes a listening story when singer Zane Rozenfelde, accordionist Māras Rozenfeld, violinist Induļis Cintiņš and double bassist Viktoras Veličko play together. One invites you to immerse yourself in quiet contemplation, another causes a smile, another surprises with unexpected musical turns and virtuosity. Even a seemingly mundane object like a typewriter momentarily becomes a full-fledged musical instrument, reminding us that a miracle is often hidden very close.

In this program, the music of different eras and genres intertwines in a single winter story - warm, colorful and cheerful! In the compositions of J. Lūsen, I. Ulman, M. Rosenfeld and other composers, winter unfolds differently. The concert program is woven into a single story by specially written prose texts, which become a bridge between the pieces, allowing the concert to be experienced as a single, living journey, where music and stories organically complement each other.
