Duo Biz’art. Concert

The concert program "Souvenirs" will remind the musicians of the past and childhood.

The upcoming concert will be a pleasant reunion, as the duo visited Lūznava Manor for the first time in autumn 2017. The duo was founded in 2004 by pianists André Roe and Geoffrey Baptiste. The pianists joke that when playing the piano with four hands, joy comes from the virtuoso interplay of 88 piano keys and 20 fingers belonging to two musicians. The duo always enjoys meeting new audiences. For both André and Geoffrey, their collaboration in a piano duo is not the only active work in the music field.

André Roe often performs as a pianist with an orchestra. He actively makes music with the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera of Wallonia, and others. He is also the concertmaster and piano teacher at the Conservatory of Music in Ettelbruck, Luxembourg.

Meanwhile, Geoffrey Baptiste has chosen both the path of a chamber musician and that of an orchestral pianist. He has founded three chamber ensembles: in addition to the Duo Biz’art, which will perform in Lūznava, the piano and violin duo The Duo Dzeta and the trio Oxymore. The musician also collaborates with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège, the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, and others. Like his duo colleague, Geoffrey is also a teacher and concertmaster.
