JAZZ AND CHRISTMAS

We invite you to a special and heartfelt holiday evening with Santa Šillere’s concert program “Jazz and Christmas,” which is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year!

Over the past five years, “Jazz and Christmas” has become a beautiful holiday tradition, inviting listeners every winter to pause for a moment, feel the special atmosphere of the Christmas season, and discover beloved melodies in a completely new jazz sound.

The anniversary concert will feature works by Raimonds Pauls, Uldis Marhilēvičs, Imants Kalniņš, and other Latvian composers in new and exciting arrangements, world-loved Christmas classics, as well as original compositions by the musicians.

Familiar melodies will meet jazz improvisation, creating a warm, sparkling, and slightly unpredictable holiday evening.

A special highlight of the anniversary season is also the release of the program’s first album on vinyl. It brings together the most beautiful melodies and arrangements from “Jazz and Christmas,” which have been beloved by listeners over the past five years.

Performing on stage will be:

Santa Šillere – vocals

Toms Rudzinskis – saxophone

Jānis Pastars – guitar

Atis Andersons – organ

Jānis Rubiks – double bass

Pauls Ķierpe – drums

Let Christmas melodies resonate in jazz, and let us experience a beautiful, warm, and musical holiday evening together!
