SINGING FAMILIES. GRAND CONCERT. New Program

The television show “Singing Families” was once, in its first season in 2009, the viewers’ favorite Sunday evening program for five seasons in a row. It radiated warmth, kindness, friendship, joy, family spirit, and music. The project brought together many musical and singing families from all over Latvia. Beloved songs by Latvian composers, folk songs, and even the occasional world hit were given new sounds in themed concerts. The families prepared for the concerts with great responsibility and love, bringing their family values and traditions to the stage.

More than 15 years have now passed since the first season of the TV show. Children have grown up in Singing Families, weddings have been celebrated, children have been born, songs have been sung, joy has been shared, and tears have been shed, but from the show’s days only the warmest memories and good friends remain. Many participants from the singing families have continued their musical journeys and are still singing in various musical groups to this day.

This is the right time to remind people of the strength of Latvian families, the tradition of singing together as a family, and the values of supporting one another. At a time when the world is so fast-paced and it is rarely possible to be together, the concert will create a sense of togetherness and will also strengthen other Latvian families. That is why the participants of Singing Families are ready to establish a NEW TRADITION and, every year in autumn, once again take to the stage to experience a beautiful reunion with their audience, to sing, celebrate, and rejoice in the Singing Families festival once more!

At the concert you will hear and meet the participants of the Singing Families show and other musical families from all over Latvia.

The concert program includes both already beloved songs from the Singing Families show and new musical surprises. There will also be sing-alongs and joint singing with the audience.
