Still Life with Loud People

The main character of the performance will be an apartment in Liepāja that is more than one hundred years old. Do rooms have memory? Do they keep stories about every resident? Have they preserved all the laughter, tears, smiles, and arguments? These questions are hard to answer, yet despite the fact that every new resident will come with their own putty knife, rolls of wallpaper, and cans of paint, everyone who has lived there has left their mark. What are the traces left in the apartment by the people who have lived there at different times? Are they the same ones they had hoped to leave behind in this apartment?

The performance has been nominated for 1 award in the 2024/2025 season of the Spēlmaņu nakts awards: "Best Choreographer or Movement Artist of the Year" (Kristīne Brīniņa).
