Eduards Rediko. Bright Songs

Eduards Rediko. Bright Songs

In the Light Garden of Ropaži Church

The Christmas season enters us not only with familiar melodies, but also with stories and feelings that each of us experiences and lives through differently at this time of year. That is why this concert program is not only about Christmas. It is also about us, about the people we are waiting for, about those we remember, about closeness and sometimes also about distance. About what we say aloud and about what we live through in silence within ourselves. This evening will be like a conversation about the familiar and the still undiscovered.

Eduards Rediko - a promising young singer, musical theater actor, composer and arranger, a graduate of the Riga Cathedral Choir School who continues his studies at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. In his creative work, Eduards combines jazz, popular music and the musical theater genre, not only performing works by various composers, but also creating his own music and arrangements. Eduards has achieved success in Latvian and international competitions, participated in the music shows X Factor and The Voice, as well as in musical productions at Dailes Theatre. His talent has also been highly praised by Maestro Raimonds Pauls. In 2025, Eduards received the Grand Music Award in the nomination Young Artist of the Year.

Alongside beloved Christmas songs, the program will feature music by Ēriks Ešenvalds, Jēkabs Jančevskis, Kārlis Lācis and Eduards Rediko.
