The present day. A couple, almost thirty but not quite. She is a children's book writer, he is a model. Poisoned silence, where every most innocent word is explosive. The plot of Artūrs Dīcis's play is about the toxic relationship between Aaron (28) and Courtney (28) at the moment when they have already broken up, but still spend time together. The story unfolds over one day - on a car trip and a hike in the forest. The tone of the play balances between irony, sharp dialogue, and deep tragicomedy - it shows how two people who once loved each other become mutual “ego maniacs” who fight more for their pride than for true reconciliation. It also raises the question of why so many young people do not want to start families and have children.
Director Reinis Suhanovs: “The performance will be a relationship drama, staged as an intimate production and based on the interplay between two actors, creating a clash of brutalism and poetic beauty. Together with the actors, we will try to grasp how to speak to the generation living in the 2020s of the 21st century”.
Premiere - February 20, 2026 in the Round Hall
