EKLEKTIKA | ALBUMS AT ANGĀRS

On October 16 at 7: 00 PM in Riga, at the concert hall “Tallinas Kvartāls ANGĀRS,” the release celebration of EKLEKTIKA’s second studio album “Maps for Closed Eyes” will take place. Special guests of the concert are Miķelis Dzenuška, Uģis Upenieks, Kristiāns Kosītis, and Kristīne Cīrule.

With their second album, "Maps for Closed Eyes," the instrumental music trio Eklektika continues the soundscape concept started on their debut album "Encounters," inviting listeners to use music as a starting point for their imagination and personal interpretations. On the new album, the trio’s characteristic improvisation retains an important role, but it intertwines organically with a more clearly developed compositional structure. While preserving the band’s distinctive sound, the album expands the trio’s sonic palette with the participation of several guest artists from Latvia. Each piece reveals a different musical world, inviting the listener to close their eyes and find their own way.
