Exhibition "Book in Latvia"

The National Library of Latvia's permanent exhibition "Book in Latvia" is a story inspired by the 21st century and the library's new identity, about the history of book publishing in Latvia in a global context. The exhibition focuses on the book, both as a material object and as a social and spiritual phenomenon that has changed, and continues to change, society, people's lives, and minds.

At a time when Latvia is celebrating 500 years since the first book was published in Latvian with a major event program, the exhibition "Book in Latvia" is the place where the full panorama of the history of Latvian book publishing can best be seen.

The connection of historical content with today's reality, modern design, and interactive solutions make the exhibition "Book in Latvia" interesting for different audiences.
