Elsa's Day concert "Poetry Sings. Strings."

When seemingly everything—happiness, fear, ebb and flow—is gone, only threads remain. They connect the experienced in the present and allow you to hear anew. Poetry, like jazz, has always been able to create a space for inner reflection. "Poetry sounds. Threads." the original music program of the singer Santa Šilleres, where Latvian poetry meets modern jazz language. The concert will feature the texts of Latvian poets Krista Anna Belševicas, Aleksandra Lines, Zane Zusta, Aspazija, Aija Āboltiņa and Emīlas Buiķas. From a portrait of the millennial generation and self-irony to a true search for light, musical stories trace the multi-layered threads of a person's inner world. Jazz in this program becomes a living space for conversation, where the word meets improvisation. The concert features: Santa Šillere – vocals, Toms Rudzinskis – saxophone, Elizabeta Lāce – harp, Anna Vibe Gorkuša – piano.
