I AM THE ONE WHO REMAINS

Diary

Writer and entrepreneur Andra Neiburga has been writing a public diary online for sixteen years. She shares thoughts about the city where she lives, the people she meets, the performances she sees, the things that happen and the things that do not happen. She writes about her health, work, mood, sorrows, and joys. In short, about everyday life, which unfolds just as excitingly and boringly as it does for all of us.

“I Am the One Who Remains” is a performance inspired by the writer and her diary*. It is a story about small and large reflections, authors and their readers, like-minded people, contemporaries, and a world that is at once constantly changing and standing still. What is one to do with all this? Nothing. The city goes on, the texts remain.

I do not want to live by the time measured by calendars. I want to live by the electronic clocks on ovens, which show a different time in every house.
