Exhibition "Is It Little? Is It Much!"
Included in the exhibition of Ivanda Spulle-Meiere’s graphic art, ceramics, original works, and Jura Zēbergs’s photographs are philosophical reflections, rendered in artistic materiality, on age-old themes and values, the order of the world, and observations of what is happening all around, concluding that there is too little of everything, too much of everything...
What is captured and depicted in Jura’s photographs and Ivanda’s graphics and porcelain paintings is the abundance of nature’s motifs... drawn from... felt... Important is the diversity of forms and colors captured in the frame, close-ups of details, and textured reliefs. In contrast to the white surfaces of paper and porcelain, where thoughts and feelings bloom in graphic lines, fields, forms of thought... Yet for each of them, and for both together, the most important thing is the true value contained and depicted in the works, the ability to see and the desire to show, to perceive appropriately, and to enrich the world with bright shades of hope. To affirm that everything a person gives value to is valuable... meaning... significance... No matter how hopelessly gray what is happening nearby and around may seem... One must strive for light, making oneself and the world brighter, more sensitive, stronger!
The exhibition can be viewed free of charge.
