Film “Ulya” at Skrunda Culture House

On October 8 at 7: 00 PM, the feature film “Ulya” will be shown in the large hall of Skrunda Culture House. Ticket price: 3 EUR. Tickets will be available for purchase right before the screening.

The film “Ulya” is an emotional story about identity and belonging, set in Latvia in the 1960s. Ulya is a teenage Old Believer whose unusual height of nearly two meters catches the attention of basketball coaches. She is taken to Riga, where she finds herself in an unfamiliar big city and the world of professional sports. Struggling with inner doubts, the girl soon realizes that she must make the most important choice of her life: hide from the world or accept herself and become the best basketball player in the world.
