The Film “Uļa” in Lēdmane

On October 7 at 7: 00 PM, the film “Uļa” will be shown at the Lēdmane Folk House.

The film “Uļa” is an emotional story about identity and belonging, set in 1960s Latvia. Uļa is a teenage Old Believer whose unusual height of almost two meters catches the attention of basketball coaches. She is taken to Riga, where she finds herself in a big city foreign to her and in the world of professional sports. Struggling with inner doubts, the girl soon realizes that she must make the most important choice of her life - hide from the world or accept herself and become the best female basketball player in the world.
