"FUTURE HORIZONS"

On Friday, October 23, at 5:00 p.m. at the Liepāja Museum, 16/18 Kūrmājas Prospect, the opening of the exhibition of works by teachers from the Glass Art Department of the Art Academy of Latvia, "FUTURE HORIZONS / FUTURE HORIZONS", will take place.

The exhibition features glass artists Agnese Gedule, Ernests Vītiņš, Ilze Dūdiņa, Inita Ēmane, Inguna Audere, Vineta Groza, Santa Bekmane, and Sandra Utāne. Alongside their works, visitors will also be able to see the work "Little Cone from Bayreuth" by the late glass artist Viktors Jansons, in which glass, brick, and a pine cone are combined.

In the diverse works of art, glass becomes a metaphor for transparency, fragility, and the ability to change. Light will play an important role in the exhibition, highlighting the optical properties of glass and revealing the interplay of color, form, and reflection.

The exhibition in the anfilade of the Liepāja Museum will be on view from October 23 to December 20, 2026.
