LIGHT NIGHT | CHARITY RUN

On Saturday, December 5 at 4:00 PM, we meet at the athletics hall of the Jānis Daliņš Sports Complex to move together, enjoy the atmosphere of Light Night, and do something truly meaningful.

This year we are supporting the Valmiera support center “Solis” by collecting donations for the purchase of equipment needed for children’s rehabilitation and recovery. The center “Solis” helps children with functional and intellectual disabilities, and quality rehabilitation equipment will make it possible to provide more effective support to a larger number of children.

REGISTRATION

Advance registration is available until December 3 at 12:00 PM by completing the registration form: Light Run 2026.

Registration will also be available on the day of the event in the hall from 3:00 PM to 3:50 PM.

PARTICIPATION - VOLUNTARY DONATION

The participation fee is a voluntary donation to the Valmiera support center “Solis”. Donations can be made either by bank transfer or in the donation box on the day of the event.

CHARITY RELAY FOR COMPANIES

We invite companies to gather their team and join the relay “Step by step closer to hope.” A team may have up to 10 participants, and the number of men in the team must not exceed the number of women.

Each completed lap increases the team’s donation amount - 1 lap = 1 euro. Each participant completes one lap and passes the baton to the next team member. A participant may complete the next lap only after all team members have each completed one lap.

AWARDS

The following will receive prizes from event sponsors:

1st to 3rd place winners of the 3 km distance;

1st to 3rd place winners of the company relay in the overall team standings;

author of the most creative light costume or outfit.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

Anyone interested may participate in the runs according to their own abilities and physical fitness. Participants are responsible for their own health condition, while legal guardians are responsible for minor participants.

By registering for the run, the participant agrees to the processing of their data for event organization purposes, as well as to the use of photos and video materials captured during the event in the organizers’ communications.

The event is organized by the association “Valmiera NEXT” in cooperation with SIA “Valmiera Olympic Center”.
