GALENIEX TO RELEASE A NEW ALBUM AND PERFORM AT PALLADIUM CONCERT HALL

After the award-winning debut album “Vernisāža” and last year’s mini-album “ambrāža,” one of the brightest rappers of Latvia’s new generation, galeniex, is preparing for the most ambitious stage of his career so far. On September 25, his second full-length album “Biennāle” will be released, while on November 28, galeniex will perform for the first time with a solo concert at Palladium Riga.

Tickets go on sale on September 17 at 10:00 through the “Biļešu Serviss” network. Positivus festival and FBI Concert Club members, as well as Delfi Plus subscribers, will be able to buy tickets in advance from September 16 at 10:00.

Ernests Galenieks, or galeniex, entered the Latvian hip-hop scene relatively recently, but in a short time he has created a highly distinctive musical language for himself. He likes to make things complex, building dense and multilayered lyrics, playing with song structure, and combining seemingly distant musical elements in one work. Instead of making his music as easy as possible to grasp, galeniex does not underestimate the listener and lets them discover details in his songs again and again, details that may go unnoticed on the first listen.

This approach was clearly marked by the debut album “Vernisāža,” released in 2024. Right from its concept, galeniex brought rap closer to the world of visual art, shaping the album as a collection of interconnected works rather than simply a selection of separate songs. “Vernisāža” received the Latvian music recording award “Zelta mikrofons” in the category “Best Debut Album” and became one of the most notable debut rap releases of the new generation.

galeniex is also the winner of the fifth season of the rap battles “371 Battle,” and in 2025 he released the mini-album “ambrāža” together with the producer collective reivs (Emīls Jansons and Aleksandrs Karpavičius). On it, hip-hop meets the rhythms of electronic dance music, continuing his previous experiments with sound and elements from different genres.

At the November 28 concert at Palladium Riga, songs from the new album “Biennāle” will be performed alongside audience favorites, including “Zemais Starts,” “Gatavojos īpaši,” and “tērēt, ne krāt”.
