Probably each of us has encountered betrayal at least once in life. A broken promise, gossip behind one’s back, a plea for help left unanswered, mistrust - betrayal has many and varied forms, big and small. And each of them is destructive - not only because it causes pain, but also because it wounds a person’s faith in the world. Sometimes it wounds fatally. And it changes both the one who betrayed and the one who was betrayed, sometimes creating monsters, one of the greatest of which is the thirst for revenge.
