On October 10 at Angārs concert hall in Riga, the local hip-hop media outlet HIPHOPS.LV invites you to a special warm-up mini festival for its five-year anniversary, where two different sides of the Latvian hip-hop scene will meet on one stage - the brightest representative of the new school, Prusax, and the award-winning rap group “Prospekti” with ten rappers, their authentic sound and attitude.

PROSPEKTI

Prospekti is a rap group with roots in Salaspils, whose first single reached listeners in 2019. In 2023, it was followed by the cypher “SHADOWNIEKI,” which gained recognition among rap listeners.

The group’s debut album “ONE-WAY TICKET” (2025) received the “Golden Microphone” in the category “Best Hip-Hop Album.”

Lineup: xantikvariāts, Kjuumanis, Kaizers, og montekarlo, Flabbijs, edoo0, Lagans, Jshawn, Decs and Klaids.

At times brash and rude, yet also witty, with their own invented slang and a free approach to expression. Prospekti play with boundaries, unafraid of being misunderstood and testing the listener’s psychological resilience. Harsh truths from the streets blend with self-irony and humor, while the lyrics reveal everyday life and scenes from the darker corners of the mind.

PRUSAX

Prusax is one of the brightest and most relevant performers of the new school in Latvian hip-hop. With his recognizable style and charisma, Prusax has been an essential part of the Latvian rap scene for years. He became known to a wider audience as one of the members of the collective “New Wavy,” winning listeners over with hits such as “Sporta stundas,” “Pirmais līgā” and “Repa Spēles Terorists.” His critically acclaimed debut album “A+” (2019) received several music award nominations. In 2021, Prusax released the mini album “Nemīz, būs OK!”, followed by several successful singles. In 2023, the debut album “GANGBANG” was released together with the collective “BANDA BANDA.” Last year, Prusax released the single “Nav laika,” and later also the double single “DUO” with guest artists rolands če and the collective “MAUZOLEJU MUUZIKA.”

Although he releases new music relatively rarely, Prusax is a very active live performer, and he is also known outside the rap audience thanks to his participation in the TV3 reality show “Ārpus zonas” and his acting work in the series “Viss Norm,” “Jaunais Norm” and “Briemsīgie stāstiņi.” Most recently, the latest Go3 project “Koreja. Kā pienākas” was released, in which Prusax, together with friends and the film crew, goes on an adventure through South Korea.
