IE-ŽŪŽ-O. Raimonds and Oskars Petrausks

At the ĪLE Acoustic Concert Hall, music by Bach and lullabies will be heard

On November 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the concert program “IE-ŽŪŽ-O” will be performed at the ĪLE Acoustic Concert Hall, bringing together music by Johann Sebastian Bach, lullabies, and improvisation.

A lullaby is one of the first melodies through which a person comes to know the world. It soothes, gives a sense of closeness, and lets one feel love. Director Uģis Brikmanis once reminded us that when a person is born, along with good fortune and prosperity, one should first wish for the ability to love. Perhaps a lullaby is the first lesson in love.

In the program “IE-ŽŪŽ-O,” the warmth of lullabies will intertwine with the depth and breadth of Bach’s music. There will also be arrangements and improvisations by Raimonds Petrausks for saxophone and keyboards.

In the virtuosic interplay of Oskars Petrausks’s saxophone and Raimonds’s piano, listeners will hear both flowing melodies and exciting flights of sound, as well as echoes of music from other continents. Melody, harmony, and free improvisation will allow the musicians to create music right there, in the moment of the concert, inviting each listener to find their own story in it.
