Indulis Zariņš. “Romanticist. Colorist. Master”

The exhibition has been created in cooperation with Rietumu Banka, the Zuzeum Art Museum, and the Zariņš family, presenting the oeuvre and artistic legacy of the outstanding Latvian painter Indulis Zariņš (1929-1997)

The exhibition features works from the Rietumu Banka art collection, the Zuzāns Collection, and the Zariņš family collection. The concept of the exhibition and the selection of works were helped by Kristaps Zariņš, rector of the Latvian Academy of Arts, continuing a dialogue with Indulis Zariņš's artistic legacy and the school of painting he founded.

The exhibition is complemented by photographs and biographical archival materials from art historian Ingrīda Burāne and the Zariņš family archives, offering a closer look at the most significant milestones in Indulis Zariņš's life and creative work.

A documentary film from the newsreel "Māksla" (1986) will also be shown during the exhibition.
