International Day of Older Persons

The International Day of Older Persons is observed around the world in October. To mark the occasion, Jūrmala City Municipality invites the city's senior residents to festive concerts and a sweet surprise on 7 October.

The concert will be performed by musician Andris Baltacis, lead singer of the group “Baltie lāči”.

There will be three concerts on 7 October:

At Kauguri Cultural Centre - at 11:00 and 13:00,

At Jūrmala Cultural Centre - at 16:00.

Admission to the concerts is free with an invitation.

Invitations can be obtained from 16 September upon presentation of a Jūrmala resident card:

At Kauguri Cultural Centre (Raiņa iela 110) - on weekdays from 12:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 12:00 to 16:00 - for the concerts at Kauguri Cultural Centre at 11:00 and 13:00;

At Jūrmala Cultural Centre (Jomas iela 35) - on weekdays and Saturdays from 13:00 to 18:00 for the concert at Jūrmala Cultural Centre at 16:00;

For all concerts, invitations can also be obtained at the Day Centre for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (Skolas iela 44) on weekdays from 9:00 to 16:00.
