Performance “Me and You”

As part of the 6th International Theatre Festival "Theatrical Baltika"

Performance - "Me and You"

MostY Theatre (Germany)

Director Fyodor Nevelsky

"When a person builds walls around themselves to protect themselves from the fears they have created, they condemn themselves to loneliness. What can bring them into the light and help them feel the joy of life again? The answer is simple - the choice is always in our hands."

MostY Theatre's performance "You and I"

MostY Theatre was founded in Erlangen in 1998 as a Russian-language student theatre at the university. Its first artistic directors were Boris Khmelnitsky and Elena Forra. After Elena Forra's death in 2006, Fyodor Nevelsky became the theatre's artistic director and director.

Over more than twenty years of existence, the theatre has staged 25 productions in Russian and German. These include "Foreign Blood" (based on a story by M. Sholokhov), "Memorial Prayer" (G. Gorin), "The Strange World of Theatre" (M. Mitua, P. Rudiy), "An Evening Out from the Society of the Blind" (V. Shenderovich), "Pugachev" (based on the works of S. Yesenin and V. Vysotsky), "The Old Actress for Dostoevsky's Wife" (E. Radzinsky), "What Happened at the Zoo?" (E. Albee), "Miracle Woman" (N. Sadura) and many others.

MostY Theatre has repeatedly taken part in international theatre festivals in various countries and won awards in the categories "Best Direction", "Best Actor", "Best Actress", "Most Original Script", "Best Set Design" and others.

There have also been difficult periods in the theatre's history. The pandemic, followed by the outbreak of war, severed many ties with the world and with other theatres. However, we managed to preserve the core of the troupe, gradually rebuild the ensemble, and rediscover the exciting, magical, at once mysterious and captivating world of theatre.

Today, MostY Theatre continues to live, create, and seek new ways to reach its audience, because theatre is always a meeting. A meeting between people.

The performance is in Russian.
