Performance - “The Snowstorm”

Theatre “Dream” (Sapnis) (Norway)

Director - Jevgeņija Ponomarjova

Theatre and creative studio “Sapnis” (Norway) is an amateur theatre founded in 2020.

For six years, we have been creating musical Christmas productions for children and the whole family. Every December, we offer the audience a new performance, which has become a cherished tradition in the Russian-speaking community in Norway.

Our team includes children, young people, and adults. Together with parents and volunteers, we carry out almost the entire production process on our own - we write scripts, create costumes and sets, record the musical material, and bring our creative ideas to the stage. In creating the productions, we also work with professional choreographers, sound designers, and lighting artists.

In 2025, a group of adult actors was formed in the theatre. We decided to try a new working format - to stage a production under the guidance of a professional director online. As a result of this creative experiment, a reading-performance of Alexander Pushkin's novella “The Snowstorm” was created - the first production of our studio for adults and the first work presented at an international theatre festival.

Participation in the “Theatrical Baltica” festival is a great honor for us and an opportunity to get acquainted with the creative experience of other theatres, exchange ideas, receive professional evaluation, and become part of an international theatre community.

We believe that theatre brings people together regardless of age, profession, or previous experience. Love for the stage, creativity, and the desire to create can turn dreams into reality. That is exactly why our theatre is called “Sapnis”.
