Exhibition “Cornucopia”

The exhibition explores the concept of the cornucopia, drawing on the diversity, research, and interpretation of the art museum's collection, highlighting the museum's openness to change and its response to the sociopolitical situation. The exhibition is based on artworks that have either not been accessible to visitors for decades or have never been accessible before.

The exhibition is built around two parallel lines: the symbolism of the cornucopia in different cultures and religions (the ancient world, Christianity in Europe, Asian art) and an examination of the museum as an institution. Painting, graphics, sculpture, decorative applied art, and numismatics are the media through which the exhibition's story is developed and questions are raised, for which there may not yet be clear answers in such a changing era.
