A chamber play based on motifs from J. W. Goethe's "Faust".

Cast: Indra Soika Dreimane, Īvs Zvejs, Jevgenijs Džeriņš.

Director Juris Bandenieks.

"When I behold you, my beloved, what force is it that drives me, so that I do your will?",

says Gretchen in J. W. Goethe's tragedy "Faust".

Is it only blind submission, or something more, as a result of which those who are dear and close perish?

Is Margarēta a criminal or a victim trapped in a life sentence?

Over twenty-five years, a hard and difficult path has brought peace and an awareness of the salvation of the soul.

But the peace is disturbed when the Lawyer arrives, wanting to unravel long-forgotten wrongs and justify Margarēta so that he can advance his career to the European Parliament.

The turn of events reveals a painful drama of relationships.

The production was created with the support of the Jelgava city municipality.
