KASPARS PODNIEKS. EXHIBITION “TWOHORNED”

He comes from there, and there he is. In Drusti. This place runs through all his works. And the people who take part in them. There, at the center of the universe, artist Kaspars Podnieks has long been fallen too. Among the livestock, the two-horned ones. With the solo exhibition “Two-Horned One,” which will be on view from September 25 at the concert hall “Lielais dzintars,” Liepaja will become a little piece of Drusti for a while. There will be both those who stay without comments and the new, as well as works from the exhibitions “I Am Coming Home” and “Connected Vessels” in a new situation.

Podnieks is also creating the сценography for the chamber music production “Reich’s March,” which, alongside the opening of the exhibition “Two-Horned One,” will take place at the concert hall on September 26 as part of the Liepaja Art Forum. The newly created exhibition works will become part of the concert and vice versa. Like connected vessels - interacting, transmitting pressure, causing great force to appear where needed, standing at the same level.
