The Goat Kid Who Could Count to 10
It is often said that the sooner a child learns to count, the better. However, in Norwegian writer Alf Prøysen's fairy tale "About the Goat Kid Who Could Count to Ten," the events initially unfold in exactly the opposite way. When the little goat dares to count everyone it meets along the way, the neighbors are far from pleased. Only when the angry animals end up in a fateful situation does the importance of counting become clear.
Director Vija Blūzma's new production adds to the popular Small Hall performance series for the very youngest audiences. Artist Anita Znutiņa-Šëve has once again created the amusingly charming animal characters as parterre puppets.
