It is 1961, and the album “Everybody Digs Bill Evans” has become a sensation. There is no doubt, Bill is a visionary. A wizard of the black and white keys, able to create a puzzle of sound that, like his graceful cigarette puffs, keeps slowly drifting through your memory. Yet Bill cannot return to composing because of the death of his kindred spirit and double bassist Scott - their trio, which captivated Greenwich Village and jazz lovers alike, has fallen apart. A cycle of grief, depression, and addiction is thicker than the Hudson River fog - he tries to break away from his beloved Elaine and return to his family, but all that interests him is just a moment.
