Movie Night: Latvian Feature Film - Spy Thriller “THE DARK BORDER”

Movie Night.

We are pleased to present director Andrejs Ēķis’ new feature film

THE DARK BORDER.

As usual, Andrejs Ēķis is interested in our historical themes (as a producer he made The Defenders of Riga, The Year of the Fury, The Dream Team 1935, and The Ring of Namejs), but after making the comedies The Class Reunion and Swingers, as a director he has already turned to pages of our history in the highly praised series The Riot.

THE DARK BORDER is a spy thriller with a tense plot that tells the story of events in 1938 and strongly echoes the current situation on Latvia’s border.
