Piano Duo "Duo Synthesia" (Latvia, Austria)
Antons Rosputko (Anton Rosputko) and Daphne Schreiber (Daphne Schreiber)
"Duo Synthesia" is a piano duo from Austria founded by two outstanding young European pianists, Antons Rosputko (Anton Rosputko) and Daphne Schreiber (Daphne Schreiber).
Daphne Schreiber's playing is marked by impulsiveness and passion. The pianist actively takes part in various music projects and festivals. She is currently honing her skills at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien) in the class of Professor Roman Zaslavsky.
Antons Rosputko is well known to Latvian audiences both for his solo performances and for playing in chamber ensembles. Anton was born in Latvia. After taking part in the famous Salzburg Festival, the pianist continued his studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, and later furthered his knowledge at the Incontri con il Maestro academy in Imola, Italy. Anton is a laureate of international competitions and a participant in many festivals. The musician actively tours and performs in the best concert halls in Europe.
"Duo Synthesia" has prepared an excellent program in which all works will be performed on two pianos, demonstrating the power, energy, and diversity of the sound palette of this truly royal instrument. The concert will feature masterpieces of French Impressionism: Claude Debussy's "Petite Suite" and "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun," Maurice Ravel's "Introduction and Allegro," as well as Sergei Rachmaninoff's final opus, "Symphonic Dances" (version for two pianos). It is a dazzlingly brilliant masterpiece that fully reveals the orchestral breadth and depth of the composer's late style.
